September 2008 - Maddy's Blessing and Addy's 1st B-day

Whirlwind weekend it was - we flew to Salt Lake on Friday night, September 27. Had a bite to eat and a nice visit with Tyler at about 11:30 p.m. after he got off of work. Saturday morning, Bob and I played grandma and grandpa - went shopping at the 'R Us stores and Costco. Saturday, we got the whole family together for a barbeque at Ted and Deb Conger's. Tiffany helped us find this great photographer, Devin, who came and took oodles of wonderful pictures for us. I think it was a bit overwhelming for Peyton so she got really somber. By the time we got to the birthday cake for Addy, Addy was so tired and ready to melt-down. Nonetheless, we really enjoyed the time together.

Tyler and Katie were excellent hosts on Saturday night when they fed us Pulled Pork Sandwiches and all the complements. It was a great time to have our families and Katie's all together. Sunday was Maddy's day and she was sure beautiful. Tyler gave her a beautiful blessing. Aside from the incident of the baby (Addy) in the locked rental car, the day went very smooth. Tyler and Katie fed us again after church with cold cuts and Katie's fabulous brownies with hot fudge sauce. . . mmm!
