After we got the cabin warmed up (thanks to our 3 boy scouts who built a fire in the wood stove), and ate a wonderful soup that Debbie made, we had a wonderful evening of conversation before we all headed to bed.
On Friday, we woke up to a several inches of new snow and it was still snowing. After a good breakfast that Jim and Glenda fixed, we all went out on double snowmobiles (3 of them). We headed up to Cave Falls. I chose the wrong gloves and didn't put an extra layer of socks on, so I got a little cold on my extremities. It was fun to get out and try something new with good friends.
On Saturday, we got up to a beautifully sunny day. Unfortunately, one of the snowmobiles decided to not function well, so we had to leave one person behind (we had one high performance snowmobile that we took out). So Glenda agreed to stay back. On this day, we all headed to Mesa Falls. It was absolutely gorgeous. I even got to drive the snowmobile with Jim on the back (and Bob was driving the high performance one).
Later when we went back to Cave Falls, I drove the snowmobile by myself. I even got to drive it on a non-trail out in the potato fields. Jim said it would be totally cool and I was fine as long as I kept going. I did really good, but he was a little sheepish after he went out as the snow was really powdery and they even had problems not getting stuck.
